Rustic Country Chicken Stew
Crockpot Meal, Serves: 6-8 people
Ingredients: Chicken*, potatoes*, Carrots*, Celery*, Onion*, Garlic*, Chicken Bouillon (Non GMO corn starch*, mineral salt, non-hydrogenated palm oil*, yeast extract, chicken fat*, parsley*, lovage*, rosemary*, chicken meat*, natural chicken flavouring, turmeric*),Thyme*, Oregano*, Bay leaf*, himalayan salt, love. *Certified Organic
Cooking Instructions: Remove from freezer the night before serving and place in fridge to defrost. Place contents of bag in crockpot, add 3 ½ cups of water, mix and cover. Cook on low for 8 hours or until the chicken is cooked through and vegetables are tender. Remove and discard bay leaf. Remove chicken breasts, shred, and add back to crockpot.
Optional: For a thicker stew, measure out 1 ½ - 2 cups of the liquid and contents (excluding the chicken) from the slow cooker and puree in blender, add this mixture back to the crock pot along with the shredded chicken and stir until combined.
Serving Instructions: Eat on its own or serve with a side salad and toast.
